After driving for a little over two hours, we begin hiking a forest path to reach a base camp located near the bottom Chersky Peak at an elevation of 1500 meters. As all necessary supplies as food and equipment are already waiting for us at the top, we are traveling\u00a0light.<\/p><p>A relaxing experience at a mountain base camp where we can have a barbeque, enjoy nature and optionally take a banya(sauna) and drink tea made from local herbs. The climb is planned after a good rest and a hearty breakfast. The hike follows a mountain serpentine road that passes by the Great Tea Road, once used by ancient trade caravans traveling from Kyakhta to Irkutsk city. The highlights and magnificent views on the route are breathtaking and must be experienced first-hand rather than being described. \ud83d\ude0a After reaching the summit, we take a break and have a snack before beginning to descend. Along the way,\u00a0 visit a local natural landscape feature \u2013 Heart Lake named \u201cSerdtse\u201d \u2013 located amidst the valley. After lunch, we celebrate our successful climb before descending to Slyudyanka village and returning to Irkutsk
